The splendid Estadio Centenario, opened in 1930 to celebrate 100 years of independence, was the scene of the first ever World Cup final, won by the host country. Tim first attended a match here with Carlos Brandón in 1978. Twenty years later, in 1998, Tim, Anna and Nelson Jiménez attended the match which gave that year's championship to Nacional. In the background, you can see the city and the broad River Plate.
